Northland Resort Hotel was founded in 2015 by Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo, a native of Manapla who emigrated to the United States in the 1950s. After many decades as a prominent surgeon, researcher and inventor in the US, Dr. Gustilo turned his attention back to his hometown. Founding not only Northland Resort Hotel, but Northland Medical Center nearby, this native son sought to put Manapla on the map.
